1. There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.

2. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death.

3. For God has done what the law, weakened by the flesh, could not do: by sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and to deal with sin, he condemned sin in the flesh,

4. so that the just requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.

5. For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit set their minds on the things of the Spirit.

6. To set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace.

7. For this reason the mind that is set on the flesh is hostile to God; it does not submit to God’s law—indeed it cannot,

8. and those who are in the flesh cannot please God.

9. But you are not in the flesh; you are in the Spirit, since the Spirit of God dwells in you. Anyone who does not have the Spirit of Christ does not belong to him.

10. But if Christ is in you, though the body is dead because of sin, the Spirit is life because of righteousness.

11. If the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will give life to your mortal bodies also through his Spirit that dwells in you.

1. इस प्रकार अब उनके लिये जो यीशु मसीह में स्थित हैं, कोई दण्ड नहीं है।

2. क्योंकि आत्मा की व्यवस्था ने जो यीशु मसीह में जीवन देती है, तुझे पाप की व्यवस्था से जो मृत्यु की ओर ले जाती है, स्वतन्त्र कर दिया है।

3. जिसे मूसा की वह व्यवस्था जो मनुष्य के भौतिक स्वभाव के कारण दुर्बल बना दी गई थी, नहीं कर सकी उसे परमेश्वर ने अपने पुत्र को हमारे ही जैसे शरीर में भेजकर जिससे हम पाप करते हैं—उसकी भौतिक देह को पाप वाली बनाकर पाप को निरस्त करके पूरा किया।

4. जिससे कि हमारे द्वारा, जो देह की भौतिक विधि से नहीं, बल्कि आत्मा की विधि से जीते हैं, व्यवस्था की आवश्यकताएँ पूरी की जा सकें।

5. क्योंकि वे जो अपने भौतिक मानव स्वभाव के अनुसार जीते हैं, उनकी बुद्धि मानव स्वभाव की इच्छाओं पर टिकी रहती है परन्तु वे जो आत्मा के अनुसार जीते है, उनकी बुद्धि जो आत्मा चाहती है उन अभिलाषाओं में लगी रहती है।

6. भौतिक मानव स्वभाब के बस में रहने वाले मन का अन्त मृत्यु है, किन्तु आत्मा के वश में रहने वाली बुद्धि का परिणाम है जीवन और शान्ति।

7. इस तरह भौतिक मानव स्वभाव से अनुशासित मन परमेश्वर का विरोधी है। क्योंकि वह न तो परमेश्वर के नियमों के अधीन है और न हो सकता है।

8. और वे जो भौतिक मानव स्वभाव के अनुसार जीते हैं, परमेश्वर को प्रसन्न नहीं कर सकते।

9. किन्तु तुम लोग भौतिक मानव स्वभाव के अधीन नहीं हो, बल्कि आत्मा के अधीन हो यदि वास्तव में तुममें परमेश्वर की आत्मा का निवास है। किन्तु यदि किसी में यीशु मसीह की आत्मा नहीं है तो वह मसीह का नहीं है।

10. दूसरी तरफ यदि तुममें मसीह है तो चाहे तुम्हारी देह पाप के हेतु मर चुकी है पवित्र आत्मा, परमेश्वर के साथ तुम्हें धार्मिक ठहराकर स्वयं तुम्हारे लिए जीवन बन जाती है।

11. और यदि वह आत्मा जिसने यीशु को मरे हुओं में से जिलाया था, तुम्हारे भीतर वास करती है, तो वह परमेश्वर जिस ने यीशु को मरे हुओं में से जिलाया था, तुम्हारे नाशवान शरीरों को अपनी आत्मा से जो तुम्हारे ही भीतर बसती है, जीवन देगा।

1. അതുകൊണ്ടു ഇപ്പോൾ ക്രിസ്തുയേശുവിലുള്ളവർക്കു ഒരു ശിക്ഷാവിധിയും ഇല്ല.

2. ജീവന്റെ ആത്മാവിന്റെ പ്രമാണം എനിക്കു പാപത്തിന്റെയും മരണത്തിന്റെയും പ്രമാണത്തിൽനിന്നു ക്രിസ്തുയേശുവിൽ സ്വാതന്ത്ര്യം വരുത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

3. ജഡത്താലുള്ള ബലഹീനതനിമിത്തം ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തിന്നു കഴിയാഞ്ഞതിനെ (സാധിപ്പാൻ ) ദൈവം തന്റെ പുത്രനെ പാപജഡത്തിന്റെ സാദൃശ്യത്തിലും പാപം നിമിത്തവും അയച്ചു, പാപത്തിന്നു ജഡത്തിൽ ശിക്ഷ വിധിച്ചു.

4. ജഡത്തെയല്ല ആത്മാവിനെ അത്രേ അനുസരിച്ചു നടക്കുന്ന നമ്മിൽ ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തിന്റെ നീതി നിവൃത്തിയാകേണ്ടതിന്നു തന്നേ.

5. ജഡസ്വഭാവമുള്ളവർ ജഡത്തിന്നുള്ളതും ആത്മസ്വഭാവമുള്ളവർ ആത്മാവിന്നുള്ളതും ചിന്തിക്കുന്നു.

6. ജഡത്തിന്റെ ചിന്ത മരണം; ആത്മാവിന്റെ ചിന്തയോ ജീവനും സമാധാനവും തന്നേ.

7. ജഡത്തിന്റെ ചിന്ത ദൈവത്തോടു ശത്രുത്വം ആകുന്നു; അതു ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തിന്നു കീഴ്പെടുന്നില്ല, കീഴ്പെടുവാൻ കഴിയുന്നതുമില്ല.

8. ജഡസ്വഭാവമുള്ളവർക്കു ദൈവത്തെ പ്രസാദിപ്പിപ്പാൻ കഴിവില്ല.

9. നിങ്ങളോ, ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ആത്മാവു നിങ്ങളിൽ വസിക്കുന്നു എന്നു വരികിൽ ജഡസ്വഭാവമുള്ളവരല്ല ആത്മസ്വഭാവമുള്ളവരത്രേ, ക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ ആത്മാവില്ലാത്തവൻ അവന്നുള്ളവനല്ല.

10. ക്രിസ്തു നിങ്ങളിൽ ഉണ്ടെങ്കിലോ ശരീരം പാപംനിമിത്തം മരിക്കേണ്ടതെങ്കിലും ആത്മാവു നീതിനിമിത്തം ജീവനാകുന്നു.

11. യേശുവിനെ മരിച്ചവരിൽനിന്നു ഉയിർപ്പിച്ചവന്റെ ആത്മാവു നിങ്ങളിൽ വസിക്കുന്നു എങ്കിൽ ക്രിസ്തുയേശുവിനെ മരണത്തിൽനിന്നു ഉയിർപ്പിച്ചവൻ നിങ്ങളിൽ വസിക്കുന്ന തന്റെ ആത്മാവിനെക്കൊണ്ടു നിങ്ങളുടെ മർത്യശരീരങ്ങളെയും ജീവിപ്പിക്കും.

16. Live by the Spirit, I say, and do not gratify the desires of the flesh.

17. For what the flesh desires is opposed to the Spirit, and what the Spirit desires is opposed to the flesh; for these are opposed to each other, to prevent you from doing what you want.

18. But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not subject to the law.

19. Now the works of the flesh are obvious: fornication, impurity, licentiousness,

20. idolatry, sorcery, enmities, strife, jealousy, anger, quarrels, dissensions, factions,

21. envy, drunkenness, carousing, and things like these. I am warning you, as I warned you before: those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. The Fruit of the Spirit

22. By contrast, the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness,

23. gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against such things.

24. And those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.

25. If we live by the Spirit, let us also be guided by the Spirit.

26. Let us not become conceited, competing against one another, envying one another.

16. किन्तु मैं कहता हूँ कि आत्मा के अनुशासन के अनुसार आचरण करो और अपनी पाप पूर्ण प्रकृति की इच्छाओं की पूर्ति मत करो।

17. क्योंकि शारीरिक भौतिक अभिलाषाएँ पवित्र आत्मा की अभिलाषाओं के और पवित्र आत्मा की अभिलाषाएँ शारीरिक भौतिक अभिलाषाओं के विपरीत होती हैं। इनका आपस में विरोध है। इसलिए तो जो तुम करना चाहते हो, वह कर नहीं सकते।

18. किन्तु यदि तुम पवित्र आत्मा के अनुशासन में चलते हो तो फिर व्यवस्था के विधान के अधीन नहीं रहते।

19. अब देखो! हमारे शरीर की पापपूर्ण प्रकृति के कामों को तो सब जानते हैं। वे हैं: व्यभिचार अपवित्रता, भोगविलास,

20. मूर्ति पूजा, जादू-टोना, बैर भाव, लड़ाई-झगड़ा, डाह, क्रोध, स्वार्थीपन, मतभेद, फूट, ईर्ष्या,

21. नशा, लंपटता या ऐसी ही और बातें। अब मैं तुम्हें इन बातों के बारे में वैसे ही चेता रहा हूँ जैसे मैंने तुम्हें पहले ही चेता दिया था कि जो लोग ऐसी बातों में भाग लेंगे, वे परमेश्वर के राज्य का उत्तराधिकार नहीं पायेंगे।

22. जबकि पवित्र आत्मा, प्रेम, प्रसन्नता, शांति, धीरज, दयालुता, नेकी, विश्वास,

23. नम्रता और आत्म-संयम उपजाता है। ऐसी बातों के विरोध में कोई व्यवस्था का विधान नहीं है।

24. उन लोगों ने जो यीशु मसीह के हैं, अपने पापपूर्ण मानव-स्वभाव को वासनाओं और इच्छाओं समेत क्रूस पर चढ़ा दिया है।

25. क्योंकि जब हमारे इस नये जीवन का स्रोत आत्मा है तो आओ आत्मा के ही अनुसार चलें।

26. हम अभिमानी न बनें। एक दूसरे को न चिढायें। और न ही परस्पर ईर्ष्या रखें।

16. ആത്മാവിനെ അനുസരിച്ചുനടപ്പിൻ; എന്നാൽ നിങ്ങൾ ജഡത്തിന്റെ മോഹം നിവർത്തിക്കയില്ല എന്നു ഞാൻ പറയുന്നു.

17. ജഡാഭിലാഷം ആത്മാവിന്നും ആത്മാഭിലാഷം ജഡത്തിന്നും വിരോധമായിരിക്കുന്നു. നിങ്ങൾ ഇച്ഛിക്കുന്നതു ചെയ്യാതവണ്ണം അവ തമ്മിൽ പ്രതികൂലമല്ലോ.

18. ആത്മാവിനെ അനുസരിച്ചുനടക്കുന്നു എങ്കിൽ നിങ്ങൾ ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തിൻ കീഴുള്ളവരല്ല.

19. ജഡത്തിന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തികളോ ദുർന്നടപ്പു, അശുദ്ധി, ദുഷ്കാമം, വിഗ്രഹാരാധന,

20. ആഭിചാരം, പക, പിണക്കം, ജാരശങ്ക, ക്രോധം, ശാഠ്യം,

21. ദ്വന്ദ്വപക്ഷം, ഭിന്നത, അസൂയ, മദ്യപാനം, വെറിക്കൂത്തു മുതലായവ എന്നു വെളിവാകുന്നു; ഈ വക പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്നവർ ദൈവരാജ്യം അവകാശമാക്കുകയില്ല എന്നു ഞാൻ മുമ്പെ പറഞ്ഞതുപോലെ ഇപ്പോഴും നിങ്ങളോടു മുൻകൂട്ടി പറയുന്നു.

22. ആത്മാവിന്റെ ഫലമോ: സ്നേഹം, സന്തോഷം, സമാധാനം, ദീർഘക്ഷമ, ദയ, പരോപകാരം, വിശ്വസ്തത, സൌമ്യത,

23. ഇന്ദ്രിയജയം; ഈ വകെക്കു വിരോധമായി ഒരു ന്യായപ്രമാണവുമില്ല.

24. ക്രിസ്തുയേശുവിന്നുള്ളവർ ജഡത്തെ അതിന്റെ രാഗമോഹങ്ങളോടും കൂടെ ക്രൂശിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

25. ആത്മാവിനാൽ നാം ജീവിക്കുന്നു എങ്കിൽ ആത്മാവിനെ അനുസരിച്ചു നടക്കുകയും ചെയ്ക.

26. നാം അന്യോന്യം പോരിന്നു വിളിച്ചും അന്യോന്യം അസൂയപ്പെട്ടുംകൊണ്ടു വൃഥാഭിമാനികൾ ആകരുതു.

15. “If you love me, you will keep my commandments.

16. And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Advocate, to be with you forever.

17. This is the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees him nor knows him. You know him, because he abides with you, and he will be in you.

18. “I will not leave you orphaned; I am coming to you.

19. In a little while the world will no longer see me, but you will see me; because I live, you also will live.

20. On that day you will know that I am in my Father, and you in me, and I in you.

21. They who have my commandments and keep them are those who love me; and those who love me will be loved by my Father, and I will love them and reveal myself to them.”

15. “यदि तुम मुझे प्रेम करते हो, तो मेरी आज्ञाओं का पालन करोगे।

16. मैं परम पिता से विनती करूँगा और वह तुम्हें एक दूसरा सहायक देगा ताकि वह सदा तुम्हारे साथ रह सके।

17. यानी सत्य का आत्मा जिसे जगत ग्रहण नहीं कर सकता क्योंकि वह उसे न तो देखता है और न ही उसे जानता है। तुम लोग उसे जानते हो क्योंकि वह आज तुम्हारे साथ रहता है और भविष्य में तुम में रहेगा।

18. “मैं तुम्हें अनाथ नहीं छोड़ूँगा। मैं तुम्हारे पास आ रहा हूँ।

19. कुछ ही समय बाद जगत मुझे और नहीं देखेगा किन्तु तुम मुझे देखोगे क्योंकि मैं जीवित हूँ और तुम भी जीवित रहोगे।

20. उस दिन तुम जानोगे कि मैं परम पिता में हूँ, तुम मुझ में हो और मैं तुझमें।

21. वह जो मेरे आदेशों को स्वीकार करता है और उनका पालन करता है, मुझसे प्रेम करता है। जो मुझमें प्रेम रखता है उसे मेरा परम पिता प्रेम करेगा। मैं भी उसे प्रेम करूँगा और अपने आप को उस पर प्रकट करूँगा।”

15. നിങ്ങൾ എന്നെ സ്നേഹിക്കുന്നു എങ്കിൽ എന്റെ കല്പനകളെ കാത്തുകൊള്ളും.

16. എന്നാൽ ഞാൻ പിതാവിനോടു ചോദിക്കും; അവൻ സത്യത്തിന്റെ ആത്മാവു എന്ന മറ്റൊരു കാര്യസ്ഥനെ എന്നേക്കും നിങ്ങളോടു കൂടെ ഇരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു നിങ്ങൾക്കു തരും.

17. ലോകം അവനെ കാണുകയോ അറികയോ ചെയ്യായ്കയാൽ അതിന്നു അവനെ ലഭിപ്പാൻ കഴികയില്ല; നിങ്ങളോ അവൻ നിങ്ങളോടു കൂടെ വസിക്കയും നിങ്ങളിൽ ഇരിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നതുകൊണ്ടു അവനെ അറിയുന്നു.

18. ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളെ അനാഥരായി വിടുകയില്ല; ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളുടെ അടുക്കൽ വരും.

19. കുറഞ്ഞോന്നു കഴിഞ്ഞാൽ ലോകം എന്നെ കാണുകയില്ല; നിങ്ങളോ എന്നെ കാണും; ഞാൻ ജീവിക്കുന്നതുകൊണ്ടു നിങ്ങളും ജീവിക്കും.

20. ഞാൻ എന്റെ പിതാവിലും നിങ്ങൾ എന്നിലും ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളിലും എന്നു നിങ്ങൾ അന്നു അറിയും.

21. എന്റെ കല്പനകൾ ലഭിച്ചു പ്രമാണിക്കുന്നവൻ എന്നെ സ്നേഹിക്കുന്നവൻ ആകുന്നു; എന്നെ സ്നേഹിക്കുന്നവനെ എന്റെ പിതാവു സ്നേഹിക്കുന്നു; ഞാനും അവനെ സ്നേഹിച്ചു അവന്നു എന്നെത്തന്നേ വെളിപ്പെടുത്തും.
